Elim Wellspring, a 4-star rated, 105-bed senior care campus formerly known as Elim Care & Rehab Center of Princeton, is hiring an organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team!
In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience.
Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.
This is a Part-Time , benefit eligible position working 20 hours a week, 4 days a week including on-call every other weekend.
Day Shift : 10 : 00am to 3 : 00 pm
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities :
- Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
- Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
- Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
- Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
- Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements :
- Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification required.
- 2 years’ experience in LTC or Medical records preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
- Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
