What are the responsibilities and job description for the Care Attendant position at Cassia?
Join our fun loving team at Valley View Village Assisted Living as a Full-Time Care Attendant. Our building is conveniently located in a park-like setting on Des Moines’ East side, near shopping centers, hospitals, medical providers and I-235. We're offering a $2,000 bonus and comprehensive benefits.
There are Full-Time (Night) positions available working varied schedules including every other weekend.
FT Hours: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
What does a Care Attendant do?
- Provide residents with desired services in a caring, safe and timely manner.
- Provide redirection, reassurance, emotional and psychological support to residents and family members.
- Assist residents with personal care with dignity and grace.
- Document services performed on computerized charting system.
- Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
What does a Care Attendant require?
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Clear documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
