What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver / Med Tech position at Cassia?
Meadowview of Clive, an assisted living campus in Clive, Iowa, is hiring Caregivers / Med Techs. In this role, you will help our residents with daily activities including passing medication. We are seeking caregivers who are team players and who are also comfortable working independently.
Every Other Weekend Shifts:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10:00pm - 6:30am
Every other Monday Shifts:
Day 6:00am - 2:30pm
Night: 10:00pm - 6:30am
What does a Caregiver / Med Tech do?
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
- Administer medication to residents.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
- Document services performed on computerized charting system.
- Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
- Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
- Med Tech, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) experience preferred, but not required. We will train you!
- Med Tech certification a plus!
- A passion for geriatric care.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
- Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Meadowview of Clive opened in June 2023 in Clive, Iowa, and will be managed by Cassia. Near this location is the beautiful Clive Greenbelt Trail and in the spring you can view an occasional Greenbelt Goat grazing near the trail.
