Lake Ridge Care Center, a 5-star, 56-bed facility, is currently seeking a Full-Time Cook/Culinary Aide to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents. This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working a varied scheduled including weekends. You will work as a cook on weekends and as a culinary aide during the week.
Cook Hours: 10:30am to 7:00 pm on Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday
Culinary Aide Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (6 days in a pay period)
What does a Cook/Culinary Aide do?
- Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
- Prepare and assist cooking all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
- Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
- Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
- Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
- Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Prior restaurant or healthcare experience preferred, but not required. We'll train you!
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
