What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Daycare Handler position at Cassidy Ingram Dog Training?
We are seeking dog handlers to join our day care team! Each handler will be in charge of up to 8 dogs while inside the daycare, and up to 4 dogs while out on activities.
All of our daycare guests are temperament tested and we encourage healthy play. Because of this, we are looking for handlers with a lighter touch than other daycares may require.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and drop off clients from their homes
- Accompany dogs on all daily activities including dog park time, central park walks, indoor playtime, and basic training practice
- Set up, run, and clean up special activities, such as the ball pit and kiddie pool
- Walk non daycare dogs during the day
- Shifts between 9:00am and 6:00pm Mondays - Fridays
- 35 to 40 hour work week
Qualifications:
- Must be age 18
- Must love dogs
- Prior personal or professional experience with dog care
- Ability to walk long distances and stay on your feet for the majority of the day
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
