We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming pets to meet their specific needs while ensuring a positive experience for both the animals and their owners. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess each pet's grooming needs and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding services provided.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, employing proper animal restraint techniques as needed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming appointments, reporting any concerns to the pet owner.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is preferred.
- Skills in animal handling, dog training, or equine care are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including proper bathing techniques and breed-specific grooming styles.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
