What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech/Language Pathologist position at Castaic Union School District?
Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services to provide remedial programs and instructional activities to students with speech and language disorders. 1. Must hold a California credential authorizing service as a Remedial Speech Specialist, i.e., the Exceptional Child-Speech Hearing Credential, Standard Credential with specialization in the Speech and Hearing Service, Restricted Speech Hearing Credential, Clinical Services, Rehabilitation Credential.
2. Must hold a Baccalaureate Degree with a major or specialized training in speech-language; a Master's Degree in speech pathology or a closely related field is highly desirable.
3. Must have successfully completed a practicum in speech and language, or one year of full-time successful experience as a remedial speech specialist. Applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and experience with programs designed to improve educational opportunities for minority pupils will be given preference.
