Job Summary
Castalia Systems is currently searching for a Systems Engineer Mid with a focus on RF/Signal Processing to join our team for an exciting contract supporting our IC customer. The selected candidate for this position will be a part of engineering teams in the development of complex processing capabilities in support of national security for our IC customer.
Roles and Responsibilities
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Utilize established methodologies to process and interpret collected data
- Design innovative tasking and processing techniques to gain additional value from collected signal data
- Provide technical expertise for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and planning.
- Devise capability improvement and optimization options to meet end user needs
- Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in physics or engineering with a focus in digital signal processing
- 5-10 years of experience in real world application of digital signal processing
- Proficient knowledge of signal detection theory as applied to weak signal recovery
- Demonstrated proficient scripting skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Software development in STK, xMidas, JAVA, Python, C/C /C#, and SQL
- Proficient knowledge of the MATLAB/Simulink programming language
- Certification at the MathWorks's Certified Associate level or higher
- Experience in high-performance for computing (HPC).
- Experience implementing MATLAB signal distributed computing on clustered processors.
- Demonstrated experience in satellite communication systems, technical collection methodologies and large volume data processing for SIGINT and RF MASINT.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Normal office environment.
