Quality Control Technician - Factor 75

Castellini Company LLC located at 2 Plum Street in Wilder, KY is looking for a Quality Control Technician - Factor 75 position.

The Quality Control Technician position is a Full Time - Hourly - Union position with a starting pay of $17.55 per hour with a $2.00 Incentive Bonus pay (with following guidelines).

The Quality Control Technician schedule will be discussed during the Interview.

Job Summary:

· Perform quality and food safety inspections on products and on the facility/equipment as directed by the Company’s policies (food safety, quality, customer expectations, sanitation, etc.)

· Drive performance of teams to meet customer expectations through management of findings

· Communicate quality and food safety issues in a timely manner

Essential Job Functions and Key Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate a sense of urgency to nonconformance’s through action and effective communication

· Collect, record, and transmit data

· Perform pre-operation inspection and GMP audits

· Perform meal verifications (meal bins and meal sleeves)

· Test seals on product to ensure film is intact

· Verify accuracy of shipping labels against pick tickets

· Inspect finished boxes for meal and count accuracy

· Inspect gel packs to ensure they are sealed, frozen and correct number in box

· Provide positive employee engagement to accomplish objectives

· Work directly with production team to address challenges and provide support

· Safely and effectively use QC equipment

· Comply with, and monitor for food safety and employee safety risks

· Assist in performing QC functions in other areas of the business

· All other duties as assigned

Deliverables

· Accurately complete product evaluations and inspections at frequency/ timing required

· Maintain records and procedures to meet customer, regulatory agencies, and audit requirements

· Serve as point of communication for the QC department with Food Safety Team, production, warehouse, and the Supply Chain team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Dependable, reliable, and punctual

· Must be able to comprehend, speak, read, and write in English – Bilingual in English/Spanish is a PLUS

· Strong organizational skills required

· Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision

• Able to communicate effectively

· Display high standards of integrity, trust, and ethical behavior

· Ability to work at a fast pace in a team-oriented environment

• Aptitude to pay close attention to detail and follow up skills needed
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances

Physical Demands:

· Working in a refrigeration environment, 34-38 degrees

· Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout shift

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

· Must be 18 years or older

· Previous QC experience preferred

· Good math and analytical skills required

· High school diploma or GED required

· Able to work a flexible schedule of 4 – 10 hour (or finish) shifts per week plus

additional hours based on business needs, holidays, vacation coverage, etc.
