Job Summary
As a Behavior Technician, you will work with individuals, particularly children, who have developmental disabilities or autism. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help clients develop essential life skills and improve their behaviors.
This is part time position for someone who is available 15 hours per week. Therapist must be able to start at 9:00am, and be available to work Monday- Friday.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Provide one-on-one behavior therapy sessions with clients
- Collect data on client progress and behaviors during sessions
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with the BCBA to adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and behaviors
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with special needs
