Seeking an Administrative Assistant/Front Office
Are you a self-motivated person who prefers to work with minimal supervision? Do you want to help immigrants and their families gain legal status?
This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage appointments, payments, and files for our practice, so you absolutely must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. During the first 90 days of employment, the pay starts at $22.00/hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for an increase after that. After successful completion of the 90-day probation period, we can negotiate other benefits or pay schedule.
We need an Administrative Assistant with experience in Immigration Law specifically dealing with clients, courts and USCIS, and taking payments. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding.

Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for important work, including:
- Answering phones
- Screening potential clients or referring out
- Scheduling appointments with potential and existing clients
- Informing clients of upcoming appointments, court dates, interviews
- Organizing and pulling files for attorney and team
- Requesting documents from clients and/or government agencies
- Scanning/copying documents and filings for mailing or court
- Data entry into the case management system
- Reading emails, faxes, and mail
- Writing letters (termination, withdrawal, follow-up, etc.)
- Identifying and prioritizing urgent matters
- Signing up new clients (new contracts).

Compensation

We are a growing Immigration Law office located in Whittier, California, that is on track for aggressive growth. We are also expanding in our areas of practice to include Estate Planning and Mediation Services.
