Job Summary
Castilone Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram in Batavia, NY, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Automotive Sales Manager to join our dealership team. Must have prior Sales Management experience. CDJR experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role requires strong communication skills, an understanding of the sales pipeline, and a passion for helping customers find the right vehicle to meet their needs.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their automotive needs and preferences.
- Guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to final purchase.
- Maintain knowledge of current inventory and assist in inventory management and control.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette to follow up with leads and schedule appointments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with the dealership team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
- Participate in outside sales activities, including community events and promotions.
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities within the sales pipeline.
Skills
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in automotive sales management is a must.
- Proficient in inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with customers.
- Ability to demonstrate strong phone etiquette when interacting with potential buyers.
- A proactive approach to outside sales initiatives, showcasing products at various events.
Hire, train, and develop a team of automotive salespeople
- Coach salespeople on standard methodologies for closing deals and provide mentorship to improve sales performance
- Set sales goals, track progress, and lead the team to achieve and exceed those quotas
- Assist customer in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
- Describe all optional equipment/products available for customer purchase
- Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles
- Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process per company standards
- Provide training and support to the sales staff and staff in closing deals
Previous dealership and management experience is a huge plus
- Leadership skills with a real passion for training fellow employees

- Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing
- Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sale workday
- Clean driving record & valid driver's license
