What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Director position at Castle Country Assisted Living, Inc. (CCAL)?
Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts. Completes documentation as required by CCAL and state regulatory agencies.Communicates information in a timely manner to the appropriate person or agency regarding changes in residents' health/well-being, personal needs, risk management issues, customer service issues, family or outside health care provider concerns.
Participates in community events, including family and social functions.
Follow up on resident incidents -Medication oversight including eMAR -Physician and family, employee education and re-training. Participate as directed with online training of all team members and other training as delegated to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Will be required to be on-call as needed to address urgent situations.
Participate as directed in all training of new team members, ensuring accurate and complete documentation is returned to the Clinical Wellness manager. Act as liaison between pharmacies, doctors, labs, residents, and families to ensure prompt action and accuracy in medication delivery system. Responsible for checking and processing ordered medications, keeping MD orders current and filed properly.
Covers QMAP or caregiver shifts as needed.
Job Qualifications:
QMAP Certification
CPR/First Aid certification
· A commitment to the values of CCAL and a strong team player
· Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
· Ability to relate to doctors, vendors, residents, families, and team member in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
· Ability to think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
· Must be able to take call after hours and on weekends, as coordinated with CWM
· Must be self-motivated and function as an in-charge person, with the ability to motivate staff in a positive
manner.
· Must have the skills and integrity to document accurately and consistently
· Must be highly organized and able to complete tasks and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with seniors
· Dementia Training
· Experience with computers and technology
