Job Duties :
- Perform general Radiography
- Performs mammography and mammography QC
- Helps with file room functions
RESPONSIBILITIES :
To follow safe work procedures and immediately report any unsafe act or condition to the Supervisor and / or Administration.
Understanding and knowing Policy and Procedures for department plus location of M.S.D.S. sheets and understanding them.
To be able to operate X-ray equipment in the Radiology department and perform exams according to the radiology protocol book.
To understand written and oral directions stated in radiologic and medical terms.
Provide care to people who may be under physical and / or emotional stress.
To maintain effective communication with Radiologists, the Chief Technologist, and other departments and outside agencies.
Must maintain yearly licenses and certifications.
Assist / perform mammography quality control procedures.
DUTIES :
Maintain MQSA Standards and oversee all mammography responsibilities.
Communicate Effectively with radiologists and follow protocol determined by each
Communicate with ordering providers and staff regarding patient exams while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Perform both mammographic, radiographic and / or DEXA scans as necessary.
Performs other appropriate duties as required.
