Overview

The Golf Cart Attendant works closely with the Golf Course Manager on the outside golf operations to provide an exceptional service for members and their guests. Primary responsibility falls on service to members, assisting golfers with bags, cart cleanliness/upkeep, and maintaining the driving range.

The Golf Cart Attendant also provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service as it relates to this function. This includes working interdepartmentally, as well as, with our external customers. 

Responsibilities

(May include some or all of the following as applicable) 

  • This position will be one of the first to greet and assist the members when they arrive to the course. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment including trash and debris in the parking lot and around the golf courses.
  • Maintain the condition of golf carts with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.
  • Responsible for daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.
  • Remain courteous and professional with patrons and co-workers at all times.
  • Refer all major problems/complaints to a manager.
  • Communicating the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations of their given areas.
  • Responsible for taking care and cleaning of the clubs stored in the Bag Room.
  • Follow procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart and range operations.
  • Maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
  • Regular attendance of scheduled work hours is required.
  • May be assigned other duties by Manager.
 

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:

High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Valid Driver License is required.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

Requires a minimum of (1) year general experience relevant to the job. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. 

Computer literacy:

Command of computer hardware/software is preferred, but not required. 

Language requirements:

Multiple language fluency is desirable but not required. 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50lbs. following appropriate safety procedures: Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time. Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain). Walk and climb stairs. Handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written. Ability to quickly and easily navigate property are required to meet the job functions. Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirement. Driving when necessary (may be required to possess a valid Driver’s License.)

Working Conditions:

Work will be divided between indoor and outdoor work. The proportion of indoor to outdoor work will fluctuate. May be exposed to weather conditions such as heat, cold or rain while working outdoors.
