What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marriott Banquet SUPERVISOR hourly position at Castle Hotel Orlando?
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee banquet service and servers , assigning duties for the team
- Take accurate food orders from guests or ensure buffet is stocked appropriately
- Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing
- Refreshes drinks
- Banquet set up
- Assists with bussing tables
- Perform various other duties as assigned
- Directly reports to the Banquet Manager/Executive Chef/F&B Director the performance of all hourly banquet food and beverage servers and personal representative of the hotel to banquet guests.
- Provides ongoing direction, supervision and monitoring to banquet staff.
- Expected to coordinate all aspect of the room/facilities set-up, including audio/visual and F&B so that all efforts are directed toward guest satisfaction, the achievement/maintenance of division standards and profit maximization.
- Perform various other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of High School education
- Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role
- Food safety certification preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Ability to multi-task
