Description
The highly acclaimed Carriage House Restaurant is located in the historic stables at Castle in the Clouds, a 1914 mountaintop estate in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire. It offers a quaint and vintage atmosphere, offering dining in the stable’s original horse stalls as well as on the outdoor terrace, which boasts a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding lakes and mountains. We are looking for team-orientated individual who can represent the Castle in the Clouds. They are responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers by providing industry leading food/ beverage service. This individual will be curating cocktails, receiving orders, cash handling and ensuring customers are satisfied from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will be able to stay with us the entire season, through the end of October.
Qualifications
· Previous experience preferred, but we will train the right person who is motivated to learn and uphold our standard of excellent customer service
· Must be 18 years or older
· A friendly, customer centric attitude is a must
· Good Communication skills
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
· Full time hours in Summer/Fall, with availability for limited winter hours
· Flexibility in schedule, must work weekends and holidays
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Provide food and beverage service inside our historic stables and outside on our terrace.
· Receiving orders, giving orders to kitchen and then processing payments through our POS system
· Curating cocktails to customer’s specifications, check identification of guests to ensure they are the legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
· Must field questions about meals, diet restrictions and alcohol as well as speak knowledgably about the facility
· Deliver warm hospitality and customer service while positively engaging with guests
· Work together as a team with our food runners, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure restaurant is running smoothly
· Maintain specific side work and ensure the total cleanliness of the restaurant
· Assist with other functions instructed by Restaurant Manager
