What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar/ Hospitality Specialist position at Castle & Key Distillery?
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service at all times, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with Taylorton’s guest experience standards.
- Learning the Craft: Master basic cocktail ingredients and mixers, including house-made syrups, while assisting in the preparation of cocktails and beverages.
- Bar Operations Support: Assist in setting up the bar, maintaining an organized and clean workspace, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth operations during service.
- POS System Familiarization: Learn the ins and outs of our POS system, accurately processing orders and handling transactions.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Support with inventory management, including helping with restocking bar supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including the preparation and organization of the bar area and supporting the team with keg building and ‘Neil’ setup.
- Facility Knowledge: Learn and deliver a 30-minute tour of the facility to guests, providing insights into Taylorton’s history, ambiance, and offerings.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular feedback sessions and on-the-job training to improve your skills and understanding of bar operations and guest service.
Qualifications:
Eagerness to learn and develop bartending and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer experiences.
- Basic knowledge of cocktail ingredients or a willingness to learn.
Must be 18 years or older.
