Taylorton Station Bar is seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Lead / Key Holder to join our team. This advanced role is designed for associates who have mastered bar operations and are ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic, high-volume environment. As a key holder, you will be entrusted with managing daily operations, supporting the team, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences during peak hours and events. You will also play a key role in enhancing product knowledge and developing future leaders within the bar team.

Taylorton Station Bar is seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Lead / Key Holder to join our team. This advanced role is designed for associates who have mastered bar operations and are ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic, high-volume environment. As a key holder, you will be entrusted with managing daily operations, supporting the team, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences during peak hours and events. You will also play a key role in enhancing product knowledge and developing future leaders within the bar team.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Team Support : Provide leadership and guidance to bar staff, ensuring a high standard of service and efficient bar operations. Act as a role model for the Bar / Hospitality Specialists and Cocktail Apprentices.

Event Coordination : Take an active role in organizing and executing some bar events, from preparation through to breakdown. Assist with host training and managing high-volume events with a focus on excellent customer service.

Operational Efficiency : Lead bar preparation tasks, ensuring the bar is ready for service and supporting team members during peak hours. Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple responsibilities under pressure.

Guest Experience Excellence : Participate in guest experience training and take the lead in handling customer feedback to ensure satisfaction. Make adjustments to service as needed to improve the guest experience.

Training & Development : Conduct small training sessions for bar staff, focusing on operational skills, cocktail knowledge, and service techniques. Ensure ongoing development of team members to maintain high service standards.

Product Knowledge & Distillery Expertise : Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to expand knowledge of the Taylorton product portfolio and the distillery's production process. Participate in tasting panels and research & development for new cocktails and offerings.

Cross-Department Exposure : Rotate through various positions within the distillery, such as production and bottling, to broaden your understanding of Castle & Key Distillery’s operations and how they relate to bar service.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in bartending, with strong knowledge of bar operations and cocktail preparation.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead by example.

Passion for customer service and creating a memorable guest experience.

A keen interest in expanding product knowledge and exploring new areas within the distillery.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed for events.
