What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Room Dining Server position at Castle Rock Asset Hospitality Management LLC?
OVERVIEW:
To brighten an early morning or treat themselves to a little pick-me-up, guests often utilize the in-room dining service. As a Room Service Server, you will be responsible for fulfilling room service orders. You will use your vibrant personality and natural communication skills to provide excellent service throughout the ordering and delivery process. You will take orders via phone or order card, arrange service trays deliver to the guest in a timely manner and pick up empty trays from hallways or guest rooms. Using your attention to detail, you will ensure that orders are correct and complete before delivering them straight to the guest. To keep things running smoothly, you will also keep the room service station stocked and organized throughout each shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Take room service orders over the phone.
Answer questions on menu selections, and check with kitchen staff.
Answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines.
Place and log call back for room service order.
Notify guests and management of delays in service delivery.
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
Complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports.
Process all payment methods.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Comply with quality assurance standards.
Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; and complete safety training and certifications.
Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy
ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES:
Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Food and Beverage leadership.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.
All other duties as assigned.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
