OVERVIEW:
As a trained and experienced massage therapist, you understand the many benefits of the art of massage as well as the importance of self-care. In this position, you will help guests relax and rejuvenate by performing all treatments in our thoughtfully designed treatment rooms. You will also actively participate in other areas of the Spa operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge and retail sales. Your guest service and communication skills will come in handy as you provide individualized service to each guest and quickly respond to their needs and expectations. To be considered, you should be recognized by the State as a Licensed Massage Therapist and ensure that your licenses are current and up to date.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products.
- Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before beginning service.
- Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
- Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes, and check with guest to ensure guest comfort and safety throughout service.
- Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Promote and sell spa/salon services.
- Handle inappropriate guest behavior by stopping service and informing supervisor/manager.
- Maintain current licensure in service area.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees.
