What You’ll Do:
As an Activity Director at Casleton Health Care Center, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. You’ll design, implement, and evaluate recreational activities to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs, ensuring a fulfilling and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement recreational programs to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of residents.
Conduct assessments and create personalized care plans for each resident.
Organize daily, weekly, and monthly activities based on resident preferences (e.g., arts/crafts, outings, religious services).
Track resident participation, adjust activities as needed, and maintain detailed documentation.
Engage families, staff, and the community in activities, and manage the activity budget.
Plan and support Resident Council Meetings, volunteer programs, and staff training.
Qualifications:
Certification: Accredited as a Certified Activity Director and completion of a state-approved Activity Director training course.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Minimum 1 year as an Activity Director in long-term care.
At least 2 years conducting social/recreational programs, with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.
Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a passion for enhancing the lives of residents.
