Position Summary:
Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additional responsibilities include:
- Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
- Will move beds and other non-technical equipment as required to complete discharge cleaning and will remove and hang cubical curtains as required
- Documents daily tasks and times as requested
- Transports medical waste and regular waste from all areas to the designated holding area
- Uses chemicals as designated for cleaning purposes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
