Castlewood Apparel Group is seeking a Designer to join our private label design team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, work with cross-gender categories, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This role will be responsible for assisting the design director with product development with an emphasis on working with customers' private label programs, and daily tasks such as but not limited to :
Responsibilities :
Evaluate and communicate with factories on all approval items including lab dips, bulk fabrics (hand / weight / color), print patterns and trims as neededCommunicate with customersCreating and updating tech packsRender CADsKeep electronic and physical records of production approvals by season. Follow up with factories on rejected submitsOrganize and send packages with fabric qualities and / or garments to sources for counter costingReceive and distribute incoming packages of samples and approval submits from factoriesTrack samples, fabric, and trim developmentsQualifications :
Highly organized / Great communication skills / Detail-OrientedHighly skilled and good judgement in evaluating lab dips and fabric qualities requiredMust be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ExcelMinimum 3 years of Fashion Design experience, both men's and women's a plusAbility to design prints and logosBasic garment construction knowledge requiredMust be a team player, open to taking direction, and able to work well under pressure
Monday to Thursday on-site NYC; Remote on Friday
