What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN – Infection Control position at Castro County Healthcare?
Castro County Hospital District is seeking an RN for Infection Control and Employee Health nurse for Plains Memorial Hospital. This position will be part time. The infection control nurse will help prevent and identify the spread of infectious agents in the healthcare setting. Will develop and implement infections control protocols, monitor compliance with hygiene practices, educate healthcare staff and patients on infection prevention measures. Will complete reporting requirements for governmental agencies. The individual needs to be able to process information quickly, communicate with a variety of audiences, and adapt to change.
Employee health nurse will manage and make recommendations to improve the safety and health of the workplace. Will investigate potential health risks in the workplace. Will work with employees that are injured on the job and assist with workers compensation claims if needed. Provides N95 respirator fit testing and vaccinations for employees. This individual needs to be detailed oriented.
Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
