Job Summary:
The CNC Technician is responsible for editing programs, operating, and set up of vertical CNC mill. Must be able to perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
Essential job Functions:
Responsible for editing programs in Fusion 360 to accomplish various machining operations as per the required sequence and dimensions of the job
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media; Facilitate work order paper flow in accordance with company standards
Inspection of parts is required
Must have tooling and insert change experience
Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
Must have experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators.
Experience with vertical measuring machines a plus.
Make tool offsets
Call up and modify existing and new programs
Adjust work coordinates
Prepare tools and fixturing
Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
Other duties as assigned
