What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift position at CAT I MANUFACTURING INC?
The primary responsibility of a maintenance technician includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep, ensuring all equipment and systems are operational, safe, and efficient to support daily manufacturing operations.. This position must be able to work independently while at the same time possessing the ability to use common sense to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to complete work order forms, take direction, be organize, and effectively communicate with supervisors and management.
- Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance.
- Maintain all maintenance areas and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment and supplies.
- Perform maintenance inspections and repairs
- Serve as on-call maintenance weekends and holiday emergency service.
- Ability and willingness to take direction and follow through as directed
- Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time.
- General computer skills
Skills and/or Competencies:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to write basic communication to understand on-the-job work standards.
- Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 year of previous experience in manufacturing
- Welding experience a plus
