Cat5 Commerce is currently seeking motivated Warehouse Associates to join our growing team in Hazelwood. It doesn’t get much better than this! This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. w/ a one hour lunch break. Seasonal overtime, holidays and weekends may be required.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for filling customer orders in a manner that meets the Cat5 standard for productivity, quality, and accuracy. Inventory consists primarily of footwear, clothing, accessories, small goods and assorted equipment.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who enjoys being part of a dynamic team in a fun environment. This person demonstrates a positive attitude and consistently performs their duties with both speed and accuracy to achieve our order fulfillment goals. Here’s a snapshot of what that looks like (these duties and techniques are subject to change at any time to meet business needs):
Order Picking: Utilizing a two-tier utility push cart and a handheld scanner, Associates travel throughout the warehouse to locate and retrieve order items, which are then hand picked from bins located on racking at a variety of heights, scanned for accuracy, and placed onto the push cart. This is routinely accomplished using a rolling staircase to access items located on the upper racking levels, or crouching to retrieve items from lower levels.
Order Packing and Shipping: Associates review the picked order for accuracy and package it using the appropriate shipping materials and method. Packing is performed at a standing workstation using routine packing materials, label printers, handheld packing tape dispensers, and handheld scanners. Associates stack packed orders onto pallets which are then properly shrink wrapped and secured, and transported to truck(s) using a pallet jack.

Duties
- Accurately hand-pick merchandise to fulfill a high volume of orders
- Pack orders using the appropriate materials and organize by shipment priority
- Assist in loading delivery trucks using pallet jack
- Receive new merchandise and move inventory into designated spaces
- Comply with individual and team performance and productivity goals
- Abide by all company policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping warehouse neat, safe, clean and operating efficiently
Qualifications
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strict adherence to safety protocols within the workplace
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work the assigned schedule, including:
- availability and willingness to work occasional overtime and/or holidays
- Follow and carry out instructions with minimum supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fine manipulation - ability to utilize handheld scanner w/touch screen
- Ability to remain standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to move and climb rolling staircases on a regular basis
- Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to frequently push/pull a handcart containing merchandise
- Sufficient knowledge and skill to satisfactorily complete equipment training programs, such as forklift certification; and use all facility equipment for its intended use, in a safe manner
Major Pluses
- Prior warehouse or distribution center experience
- Prior forklift experience
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb, stoop; bend; crouch; talk; hear. Vision abilities include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Using hands and finger dexterity to access, enter and retrieve data from handheld scanners and computer keyboards, grasp / handle objects and utilize standard warehouse equipment.
Associates must possess the ability to grasp, lift, and carry inventory items and push / pull and operate a variety of equipment. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items up to 75 lbs occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate may be exposed to dust, hot or cold temperatures or humidity stemming from weather conditions, and moving objects.
