Job Description:
We are seeking an Application Support and Training Specialist to provide comprehensive support, training, and issue diagnosis for our internally developed ASP.NET web application. This role requires a proactive individual with expertise in the full .NET stack, including VB.NET, C#, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will work remotely but must be willing to travel occasionally to our offices in Texas, Alabama, Florida, and Puerto Rico to provide hands-on support and training.
Key Responsibilities:
APPLICATION SUPPORT:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the ASP.NET web application.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
- Provide second-level support for escalated user queries.
TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATION:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of the application.
- Develop and maintain user manuals, FAQs, and training materials.
- Act as a point of contact for user feedback and improvement suggestions.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
- Utilize strong knowledge of VB.NET, C#, and SQL Server to support and enhance application functionality.
- Write and execute SQL queries to analyze data and resolve user issues.
TRAVEL AND REMOTE WORK:
- Travel occasionally to company offices in Texas, Alabama, Florida, and Puerto Rico to deliver in-person support and training.
- Work remotely to address user issues and coordinate with the development team.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in application support or a similar role.
- Proficiency in VB.NET, C#, SQL Server, and the ASP.NET framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and user support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
