As an Activity Aide, you will be
- · Checking the resident schedule at the beginning of each shift and throughout the day. Medical appointments will always take precedence over an activity.
- Attending daily activity team meetings. Communicate professionally and effectively with the Activities Director, and fellow team members.
- Developing new activities each month to assist residents in social skills development in the facility and out in the community.
- Creating step-by-step instructions for activities.
- Analyzing the appropriateness of situations, plan for safety, and plan for emergency situations when out in the community.
- Planning for staffing needs during each activity.
- Ensuring that the monthly activity calendars are posted at each location prior to the start of a new month.
- Maintaining a log of Activity Calendars.
- Participating in all scheduled and unscheduled activities.
- Must be flexible to accommodate activities, specialty group activities, and community events that may occur outside of the regular work schedule. This includes evenings and weekends.
- Attend monthly resident meetings to get feedback and new ideas from residents.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to stand and walk for several hours at a time
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
Requirements
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Must pass a Washington State Background Check
- Clean driving record
Preferred Credentials & Certificates
- Home Care Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant License
- CPR/First Aid
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- Washington State Food Worker Card

Compensation
· $19.50 to $20.50 per hour
