Our Greendale, IN facility specializes in gummy manufacturing. On site, we have a state-of-the-art Mogul unit for manufacturing gummies, a highspeed bottling process, and a pouching operation.
The Supply Chain function is responsible for all procurement, planning, inventory control and customer service functions at Catalent Greendale. The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing all activities and personnel within the Supply Chain function providing leadership for planning, logistics and purchasing activities. This role is responsible for coordinating and implementing activities to attain strategic objectives within the department and looks to his/her direct supervisor or other peers within the site and Catalent for guidance. In addition, the Director, Supply Chain establishes goals and objectives, supervise work practices for direct reports, interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect organizational units. At the senior level, this position requires extensive independent judgment. Preferred candidates will have significant opportunity based on performance and demonstrated leadership to be considered for progressive leadership roles at a rapidly growing site and business unit.

The Role
Manage end-to-end supply chain planning and execution activities
Manage customer demand, supply plans to ensure OTIF fulfillment of customer orders
Manage all inventories and in-plant and offsite logistics
Ensure project management disciplines are followed to deliver ‘quick to market’ launches for new products
Manage the purchasing function to ensure coordinated and efficient supply of materials (cost reduction programs and key supplier management). Manage inventory within prescribed DIOH
Work closely with operations to develop production capacity plans and strategies for the medium and long term
Ownership of master and transactional data accuracy in ERP system as well as for Sales & Operations Planning process
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of Catalent Greendale Logistics & Planning Strategy
Assist General Manager in crafting forecasts, budgets, long range forecasts and capacity plans
Assist in negotiating and managing supply agreements and coordinate supply related items with customers
Respond to requests for new business proposals from sales team
The Candidate
Bachelor's degree. Master's preferred
7-10 years of experience providing strategic and operational leadership in a customer driven planning and logistics environment.
Prior experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or consumer health industry is preferred
Significant experience managing people and providing both tactical and strategic leadership to the quality organization and the site as a whole
Adept in ERP system processes (JD Edwards/SAP or equivalent)
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is required to sit, climb or balance and taste or smell
Demonstratable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
