Cataler North America, a leading automotive manufacturing company, has an opening for a Logistics Team Leader on 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm).
Summary: Oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in warehouse operations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyzes daily workload and allocate personnel to optimize efficiency in the department.
Maintain Inventory of all Shipping and Receiving supplies to ensure the Department has all the tools needed to operate. Will order supplies via company approved requisition form as materials need to be replenished.
Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve work standards and conditions, safety, equipment performance, efficiency, and quality of operations.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Develops or revises Work Instructions per supervisory approval and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Assists in resolving worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Logistics Supervisor for action.
Develops and maintains safety procedures (PPE, Safe Lifting Techniques, Hazardous Material Handling/Clean-up, etc.)
Ensure Fork trucks are inspected at the start of each shift. Ensure that any truck that is not functioning properly is put out of service until repairs are completed and the truck is safe to use.
Ensure all visual boards utilized in the Shipping and Receiving Dept. are updated daily.
Perform daily 5S inspection. Develop, recommend, and implement measures for improvement and instill in TM the need for constant improvement and awareness to the 5S principals of Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Verify outbound Shippers and review ASNperformed on shift to ensure accuracy of all documents going out to customers.
Serves as backup and/or periodically as principal clerk responsible for any of the key functions in S&R.
Support supervision in ensuring quality of all departmental work, such as by reviewing work key points, auditing and training.
Support deliveries to and from Plant #2 and other locations as assigned using the company provided truck. (Only designated team members that have met the requirements will have driving privileges)
