The Associate Director of Behavioral Health will ensure Easterseals Northen California program and clinical management teams function effectively and deliver high-quality care. This role supports the Senior Director, Behavioral Health and oversees the day-to-day operations of clinical programs to ensure they are mission-based, fiscally responsible and meet or exceed the requirements of regulatory and / or certification agencies. This role is based in California, with the required capability to travel to all worksites throughout California.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversight and Leadership :

Community Centered : Support and celebrate the experience of others.Equity-Informed : Ensure fair and equal access for all.Wellbeing-Driven : Create healthy structures and systems.Provide clinical supervision and management oversight to program managers, ensuring they have the tools and training necessary to manage their teams effectively.Analyze performance metrics and success measures to ensure clinical quality standards are met.Provide direct supervision and mentorship to Care Team ManagersReview and support the professional development of direct reports through regular feedback, coaching, and training, utilizing the FoC performance management tool V2MOM.Execute parts of the Behavioral Health department's V2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures), budgets, and operating plans as delegated by the Director.Facilitate communication within the department through regular staff meetings, written communications, electronic communications, and other methods as identified.Support the Director in meeting or exceeding Behavioral Health budget margins and billed hour targets.Collaborate with FoC shared services departments to ensure the successful delivery of clinical excellence, finance, revenue cycle, IT, and people and performance-related services.Ensure programmatic compliance with accreditation and funding agencies' standards and take corrective action as needed.Administrative / Operational :Evaluate the performance of Care Team Managers and Program Managers against monthly productivity targets; ensure accountability for the productivity of their direct reports.
Oversee accurate documentation of billable services to meet regulatory and funding source requirements and ensure HIPAA compliance.Support program managers in ensuring services are provided to the full extent of authorizations for all clients in all program locations.Recommend and oversee programmatic improvements to enhance client, funder, employee, and network provider satisfaction.Ensure compliance with Easterseals Behavioral Health and FoC policies and procedures across all program locations, adhering to local, state, and federal regulatory agency rules.Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of clinical management and staff, including participating in Saturday or weeknight events as necessary. Assist the Director in making management and clinical staffing decisions, including hiring, termination, and assignments.Participate in special projects as assigned by the Director.Attend staff meetings, in-services, training, conferences, and other meetings as assigned by the Director.Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director.Collaborate with Family of Companies (FoC) shared services departments to ensure successful delivery and application of clinical excellence-, finance-, revenue cycle-, data analytics-, contracts, IT-, quality-, people & performance-, and recruiting-related services to day-to-day operations.Maintain necessary continuing education requirements.Complete additional duties as assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to :
Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree, PsyD, or PhD from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required : applied behavior analysis, social sciences, early childhood education / development, special education, pediatric therapy, psychology or related field.Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) in good standing highly preferred.Minimum of three years' experience leading teams in a supervisory role in Autism Services or Behavioral Health Programs or other related multi-disciplinary team setting.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong demonstrated skillset in leadership, mentoring and managing teams.Knowledgeable of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children diagnosed with ASD, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT).Extensive training in the field of ABA, Autism Services, Behavioral Health and knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve families qualifying for these services.Familiar with common modalities in ABA treatment delivery, including but not limited to; Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Essential for Living (EFL)Strong clinical background and knowledge in best practices in Behavioral HealthCommitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams.Capacity to communicate effectively verbally and in writing,Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.Exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.Develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.Personable; ability to work comfortably with individuals at all levels of the organization in a high energy and fast paced environment.Work independently and to be flexible in changing work priorities.Physical Requirements :

Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ / FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.Covid Vaccination and subsequent boosters required only in counties where required.Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation needed.Must have a valid California Driver's License with Insurance and maintain a clean driving record.Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.Ability to obtain and maintain a CAQH credential.Ability to obtain and maintain NPI number.Must attend any required training.Time Type : Full time

125,000.00 - 135,000.00 annually
