$75,000-$80,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Definition: Under the supervision of the High School Principal, plans, implements, maintains, and evaluates viable programs of career and technical education (CTE) at Catalina Foothills High School. Work with principal and assistants, teachers, and other local directors, to develop academic and CTE programs that prepare students for careers and/or future education upon graduation. The Coordinator will serve as the contact person for business, industry, community service organizations and other educational entities as they work with the District to assist students in their college and career readiness studies.
Essential Functions: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge skills, and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a complete listing of all functions and tasks performed by this job class.)
Responsibilities
Other Characteristics: Knowledge of state and federal legislative mandates for CTE/JTED.
Knowledge of local, state and national labor market information as it affects program improvement.
Experience with program and staff leadership and development.
Extensive experience and education in curriculum development and evaluation.
Experience in grant writing and management.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Required
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education or related field.
5 years of Secondary Teaching Experience
Preferred
CTE Teaching Experience
Arizona Administrator Certification

Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage grant applications and budgets as assigned. (e.g. JTED, Carl Perkins and Priority Grants)
- Compile and submit all reports required by the District and the Arizona Department of Education.
- Direct the activities necessary to manage and develop new CTE/JTED programs for the District.
- Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of inservice activities for CTE/JTED teachers.
- Coordinate structures for CTE/JTED program improvement and evaluation.
- Work with Pima Community College and the University of Arizona to increase the number of articulated programs.
- Maintain compliance with the JTED.
- Liaison for the District in working with the JTED and program development.
- Meet regularly with CTE/JTED teachers to develop and implement CTE/JTED programs.
- Direct the District CTE/JTED Advisory Board in compliance with State expectations.
- Work with the Associate Superintendent to manage and coordinate the alignment of CTE/JTED curriculum with state and federal standards and district goals as appropriate.
- Facilitate curriculum articulation activities with post-secondary institutions.
- Coordinate and implement student CTE/JTED assessments.
- Supervise CTE/JTED faculty and student recruitment and retention plans.
- Co-supervise and evaluate all CTE/JTED staff.
- Attend update and training sessions relevant to CTE/JTED funding and program development.
- Perform other CTE/JTED responsibilities as assigned.
