As a Medical Assistant at our facility, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping others. This position reports to the Clinic Supervisor.

Essential Functions
- Answers multi-line phone, screens, and routes calls, takes messages for clinic staff and physicians.
- Schedules and edits patient physician appointments for new and returning patients.
- Assists physician in a variety of treatment and examination procedures such as pelvic, vaginal, and rectal examinations.
- Operates a variety of medical treatment and monitoring equipment.
- Removes, cleanses, medicates, and bandages sterile wound dressings.
- Prepares patients for examination or treatment and performs routine screening tests.
- Assists physicians with procedure set-ups, patient procedures and examinations. Administers medication by intradermal, subcutaneous, or intramuscular injections, performs skin tests, venipunctures and other technical supportive services upon the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician or nurse.

Education Certification
Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the CA State or National Certification exam.
Experience
- Three to five years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Two years medical assisting experience in a clinical setting.
- Two years experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Requirement
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS)
