Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) team. As an ePMO intern, you will gain hands-on experience in project management processes and support the team in delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in project management and understand how projects are planned, executed, and tracked in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Project Documentation:
- Support the ePMO team in preparing and maintaining project documentation such as project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk logs.
- Organize and update project files in SharePoint to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
- Project Reporting:
- Assist in tracking project progress and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of project status to stakeholders.
- Create and update project dashboards and performance reports.
- Support Project Scheduling:
- Help develop and maintain project timelines and schedules using project management tools.
- Monitor project milestones and deadlines, alerting the team of any potential delays or issues.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Assist in identifying and tracking project risks and issues, helping to develop mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Document project risks and escalate as appropriate.
- Project Coordination:
- Provide administrative support to project managers, including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking action items.
- Coordinate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in evaluating and improving ePMO processes and workflows to increase efficiency.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and contribute to refining project management practices.
- Other ePMO Support:
- Participate in internal ePMO meetings and contribute ideas to enhance project execution.
- Help with research on industry trends and best practices for project management.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in project management and learning about PMO processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a business or project management-related role (e.g., internships, academic projects).
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
