Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Catalpa is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinicians to join our school-based and Clinic teams. This will be a full-time 1.0 FTE position, with the option to work within a school, a clinic, or to work remotely via Telehealth. Primary Purpose The Licensed Mental Health Clinician will offer counseling and mental health services to the clients of Catalpa Health. Services may include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness and other psychological issues within a clinical and / or nontraditional setting. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) Provides pediatric and adolescent counseling services. Gathers and analyzes information on clients through a variety of methods that may include observation, interviews, self-report inventories, group discussions, and / or formal assessments. Identifies problematic behavioral, communication, and relationship patterns. Collaborates with the clients to develop plans to positively manage and respond to issues; assists clients with replacing unhealthy or dysfunctional behaviors with healthy choices. Assists clients in developing new or strengthened communication skills and methods. Provides expert insight on how family dynamics affect psychological health. Diagnoses and applies appropriate treatments for psychological disorders. Identifies and provides appropriate psychotherapy for clients and / or the entire family. Collaborates with clients to develop post-treatment activity plans. Refers clients to specialists for further treatment as appropriate. Develops and maintains accurate records regarding case progress, evaluations, and any further treatment recommendations. Drafts and submits necessary paperwork to insurance companies. Maintains compliance with ethical codes and standards. Provide timely case management for Mental Health cases. Maintain relationships with other professionals and community organizations. Maintain productivity standards set by Catalpa. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education / Experience : Education Experience Master’s Degree in Human Services, or a related field required and 1 year of mental health clinical treatment experience working with children teens required Additional Education / Experience Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management. Certifications & Licenses : Name Required / Preferred State of WI Licensed Certified LCSW, LPC, and / or LMFT Required Skills and Abilities : Superior verbal and written communication skills. Compassionate and empathetic with a strong ability to establish and build trust. Excellent listening skills. Ability to remain calm and reassured in tense situations and to de-escalate arguments. Thorough understanding of human behavior, various behavioral and affective disorders, and the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of these disorders. Organizational skills required to manage complex, deadline-driven paperwork including billing and insurance claims. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
