Job Summary
This position is located in Fairbanks, Alaska for licensed and pre-licensed clinicians. The clinician will provide direct psychotherapy services to children, individuals, couples, and families with regular consultation support provided by a supervisor. Licensed and pre-licensed clinicians will participate in weekly clinical supervision, case presentations, and ongoing professional development training.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Weekly or biweekly consultation with a licensed professional counselor supervisor.
- Clinical, psychotherapeutic engagement with clients individually and in group sessions, to facilitate and support therapeutic treatment goals.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
- Offer clients trauma-competent and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Regularly assess and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, including supervisory instruction, to create and implement treatment plans that align with the Catalyst Counseling philosophy and the client’s goals.
- Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
- Administrative responsibilities as necessary, including answering phone calls, coordinating scheduling, answering emails and messages.
- Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on review of client information.
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate services and/or to resolve crisis situations.
- Respond as necessary and testify in court if subpoenaed.
- Stay current on therapeutic techniques and research, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Ability to facilitate group sessions as well as individual/family sessions, as needed.
Qualifications:
Licensed Clinician
- Must have completed and obtained licensure in the state of Alaska and have a current license as a LPC, LPC-S, LMSW, or LCSW.
Pre-licensed Clinician
- Must have completed and obtained a Master's level degree in the field of counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work at time of hiring.

- Ability to work ethically and respectfully with culturally diverse populations including children, individuals, couples, and families with a range of mental health and relational concerns.
- Experience in working with a variety of clients and can utilize skills with trauma-focused therapeutic modalities such as brainspotting, EMDR, IFS/parts work, and somatic experiencing. If pre-licensed, willingness to train in bottom-up trauma treatment modalities such as brainspotting and/or other trauma-focused interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to engage in reflective practice, and to receive and integrate feedback from supervisors and colleagues.
- Documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 10 – 25 clients per week.
