What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Catalyst Exhibits?
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the painting and finishing of aluminum, steel, and wood materials for all exhibits.
Essential Job Functions:
- Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect surfaces and fixtures of exhibit structures.
- Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with appropriate materials.
- Selects premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines to ensure the safety of own self and other co-workers.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3 year of previous painting experience required.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
- Will be required to regularly stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, push and pull.
