The Payroll Manager is responsible for the Payroll function and leads a team of Specialists to ensure timely and accurate payment of salary, accruals and related employee payments.Essential Job Functions : Set up payroll processing schedules and calendar for the company based on the company’s policies and practices and Payroll System requirements.Lead the team in developing payroll processing procedures and quality assurance processes.Review and approve payroll exceptions and collaborate with HR Management Team in reviewing and developing Payroll / HR related policies and guidelines.Support the team in resolving complex issues regarding Payroll related procedures and practices.Communicate to supervisors and managers with new or revised procedures, timelines and expectations.Ensure payroll expenses are charged to the General Ledger appropriately.Review and audit payroll transactions randomly or as needed.Keep abreast of changes in Payroll and Payroll Tax laws and regulations.Assess the applicability of the changes to our business and develop new processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure changes are considered and implemented.Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the payroll function.Ensure processes and procedures are compliant with relevant payroll laws and regulations.Correct wage allocations to the appropriate general ledger.Generate reports as scheduled.Address employees’ inquiries appropriately.Provide excellent customer service to internal clients.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.Education and Experience : Education : The MINIMUM formal relevant education required by the position.BA in Accounting or related fieldExperience : The MINIMUM relevant experience necessary to qualify for the position.5 to 7 years’ experience in Accounting or related field1 year experience managing a team, 2 years or more preferredOther Qualifications : Expert knowledge of Wage and Tax Laws in relation to payroll function.Experience in managing and leading staff.Computer proficiency in office software and payroll system.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to details.Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work within a tight time schedule.Shift Type : Full Time, Exempt, Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office)Compensation : $100,733 - $151,100 annuallyWhat We Offer : Medical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsLife, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) employer paid coverage401(k) Retirement plan and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Personal Health AdvocatePaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysEducation Reimbursement ProgramDiscounted childcareAccess to the Calm appTickets at Work employee discountsWe are proud to be an EEO / AA employer M / F / D / V.
