The Sr. Manager, Marketing leads the day-to-day activities associated with implementing the agency's marketing and communication plans under the oversight of the Sr. Director, Enrollment & Marketing. Their objective is to establish goals and benchmarks throughout the campaign calendar, aligning with the Department's Fiscal Year projections. The Sr. Manager, Marketing oversees all campaigns across agency divisions, setting metrics and reporting to assess and refine these efforts. Key responsibilities include increasing brand awareness, managing vendors, monitoring brand guidelines, and promoting internal and external communication. Additionally, they plan and oversee marketing projects, analyze data, prepare presentations, and develop recommendations to enhance revenue and brand visibility, while leading a statewide team to meet the agency's marketing and communication needs.
Essential Job Functions :
- Responsible for establishing an internal system of accountability and reporting to ensure successful marketing campaigns.
- Consolidate data and provide analysis of campaign success in accordance with historicals
- Manage and oversee vendors
- Assess campaign spend and allocate in accordance with marketing strategy
- Execute the marketing plans, using a variety of modalities.
- Facilitate the implementation of brand guidelines to improve the effectiveness of brand identification and alignment.
- Oversee a variety of communications including, but not limited to website, socials, brochures, internal communications, marketing collateral, advertising and crisis communication. This includes writing, editing and proofreading content and overseeing distribution.
- Manage timing and content of communications in order to maximize outreach.
- Responsible for supporting various key Marketing initiatives designed to increase market awareness and brand recognition
- Manage and coordinate the creation of promotional materials and events to enhance the image of the agency
- Seek opportunities for local media coverage
- Facilitates Marketing and Communication collaboration groups
- Collaborate with vendors on projects such as branding, marketing collateral, website design, social media, and recruitment
- Lead the selection of vendors
- Collaborate with purchasing on other needed State approvals and submittals
- Supervise staff members, assist with the creation of annual goals, in partnership with the Director, facilitate the annual performance reviews, and build a cohesive and mission-focused team of professionals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Travel : 10-30%- Including two visits per year to meet with direct reports on-site at various locations.
