Assistant Editor

We are a boutique creative advertising agency that specializes in marketing for broadcast, cable, and streaming services. We are growing quickly and need help with assistant editorial and finishing work! This is a freelance-to-hire position. To apply, please email jobs@catalyticccreative.com

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create finishing preps for trailers and TV spots for in-house and out-of-house finishing
• Complete documents such as scripts, shotlists, dialogue lists, and cue sheets
• Pull clips or still images for shows
• Overcut sequences with updated media/footage/VFX
• Collaborate with other staff in managing day-to-day workloads

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have minimum 1 year experience as an Assistant Editor, preferably in an entertainment advertising agency
• Must be extremely proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro with experience troubleshooting common issues
• Must have a deep understanding of frame rates, conversions, & codecs
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and the Apple and Google equivalents (Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Google Docs, etc)
• Must be able to work remotely in Pacific Time hours

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer
• Skills in After Effects, Photoshop, and audio tools
• Experience working in remote environments through tools such as Parsec, Teradici, and DCV Viewer
• Interest or experience in editing your own creative material from scratch (trailers, TV spots, digital assets, or creative content)
