Description :
The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial management and operational efficiency of Catania Oils. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and financial principles to help eliminate chronic losses.
Requirements :
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Ensure process integrity related to inventory and work with team members to resolve process issues
Analyze and review bills of material to ensure accurate product & standard costs
Understand and analyze manufacturing KPIs and provide actionable insights for operational efficiency
Review intercompany shipments to ensure adherence to process
Participate in annual and / or bi-annual physical inventory counts
Monitor and report on financial performance, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for improvement within the Operations Group (Manufacturing, Warehouse, Distribution, Inventory Management and Supply Chain)
Collaborate with different departments to understand operational processes and their financial implications
Develop and maintain reports and tools for the Operations group to support decision-making processes throughout the company
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
Intermediate to expert level Excel skills – ability to work with large data sets and create advanced formulas
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
Understanding of manufacturing processes and the financial impact
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
SKILLS :
Experience with ERP systems
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power BI.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow-through skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, collaboration and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as well as cross functionally.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written skills, with accounting experience being a plus.
Self-starter with the motivation to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Solid data management and reporting experience using Microsoft Office tools, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and familiarity with macros and queries.
WORKING CONDITIONS : Monday-Friday onsite, 8am-4 : 30pm
