Job Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst Senior plays a critical role in our organization's data strategy, focusing on developing and implementing sophisticated reporting architectures at the Health Plan level. This pivotal position bridges technical expertise with strategic business understanding, driving insights that inform critical decision-making processes.

Our ideal candidate will be a versatile and innovative professional who can translate complex data landscapes into meaningful, actionable reports and dashboards. The role requires a deep understanding of business intelligence methodologies, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex reporting projects utilizing both normalized and denormalized data structures
• Create comprehensive dashboards and reports using Microstrategy, SSRS, and SAS
• Develop strategic reporting architecture for Health Plan business intelligence
• Collaborate closely with IM and Health Plan directors, managers, and application users
• Conduct thorough business requirements analysis
• Produce ad hoc and standard reports with high accuracy and detail
• Support Incident, Problem Request, and Change management following ITIL best practices
• Mentor and assist junior team members in technical and professional development
• Provide quality support to internal and external users with a focus on customer service and timely delivery
• Document process workflows and reporting methodologies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for reporting systems and processes

Required Experience/Skills

• Extensive experience designing and developing reporting solutions using Microstrategy, SSRS, and SAS
• Proven ability to work with complex, highly normalized and denormalized data structures
• Strong understanding of business intelligence methodologies and reporting standards
• Advanced technical skills in data analysis and visualization
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting business goals through strategic reporting solutions
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical documentation
• Proficiency in ITIL best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience in healthcare business intelligence
• Advanced certifications in business intelligence tools
• Experience with mobile reporting solutions
• Background in process improvement and change management
• Knowledge of healthcare data structures and regulatory requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field
• Advanced degree preferred
