Maritime Domain Subject Matter Expert responsible for the integration of full spectrum naval capabilities into multi-domain scenarios / mission threads that support the U.S. Army Joint Modernization Commands worldwide, multi-echelon, joint and multi-national future force live, virtual, and constructive simulation experiments.
The ideal candidate must have naval operational experience and knowledge with regards to how Master Scenario Events Lists (MSELs) and scenarios / mission threads support the following areas : Operations, Plans, Command and Control (C2) Command Authorities, Fires, and Integrated Air and Missile Defense / Ballistic Missile Defense.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must have performance-based Operational-level experiment / exercise experience, which includes the full spectrum of maritime operations support tasks required in the conduct of simulated and real-world events (local, remote, distributed, live, virtual, and constructive; friendly, neutral, and threat maritime forces). These tasks include but are not limited to : experiment / exercise concept development, planning, scenario / mission thread development, event response and control cells, assessment, as well as supporting development of the future-force maritime domain within a joint experiment / exercise environment.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure experiment / exercise maritime objectives are supported by scenario / mission thread elements, storylines, and MSEL implementers (Intelligence reports, message traffic, assessments, etc.).
- Ensure maritime scenario / mission thread elements, storylines, and MSELS are linked to appropriate simulation activities and databases, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) stimulus, order of battle rosters, and other supporting technical or operational means as necessary to satisfy experiment / exercise objectives.
- Provide maritime expertise and support on applicable tactical and operational-level joint, multi-national and service doctrine associated with experiment / exercise planning / execution.
- Participate in the development of (maritime-related) After Action Reports based on observations of operational unit / role players during experiment / exercise execution.
