Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Web Administrator to lead and support the migration and maintenance of multiple interconnected websites. This role will focus on optimizing website functionality, accessibility, and content management while acting as a strategic liaison between Communications and IT Web Services teams.
You’ll play a key part in content migration efforts, website maintenance, and stakeholder training, ensuring consistency and compliance with accessibility and performance standards. This position blends technical knowledge of Drupal CMS and WCAG compliance with strong communication and organizational skills to guide cross-departmental collaboration and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing multi-site website migrations.
- Update, manage, and optimize large-scale website content (3,000 pages).
- Collaborate with IT Web Services to ensure performance and scalability.
- Design, test, and troubleshoot site layouts, navigation, and features.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and other accessibility standards.
- Provide guidance and training to web content contributors.
- Translate technical web requirements into actionable communication strategies.
- Support creation and remediation of accessible documents and digital materials.
- Monitor website analytics and performance metrics to inform improvements.
- Maintain site navigation, taxonomy, and CMS content governance.
- 7 years of experience in web administration and design for large websites.
- Strong experience with Drupal CMS (content creation, taxonomy, navigation).
- Demonstrated portfolio of complex, responsive web design projects.
- Proven knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and digital accessibility requirements.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and site performance optimization.
- Skilled in responsive and mobile-first design approaches.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Collaborative mindset for working across creative, content, and technical teams.
- Pay rate range: $50-55/hr on W2
- Hybrid schedule: 80% remote, 1 day/week on-site in Austin, TX.
