Position: Dual-Rate Slot Shift Manager

Shift Manager Hourly Rate: $31.00 - $37.00 FLSA Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Supervisor Hourly Range: $26.50 - $32.05 FLSA Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Description Summary
Under the direction of the Slot Shift Manager/Slot Director, the Dual-Rate Slot Shift Manager will perform the duties of the Slot Supervisor or Slot Shift Manager based on business needs. In the role of Slot Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activity of all Slot operations activity, ensuring compliance with the Slot Department policies and procedures. The Slot Supervisor monitors and supports team members assigned to their areas and additionally provides prompt and courteous service to all gaming patrons. In the role of Dual Rate Slot Shift Manager will assist in managing gaming activity on a day-to-day basis to ensure the integrity of the Slot Operation. Will resolve issues and respond to guest concerns as they arise. Will assist other departments as a leader on the gaming floor when gaming or guest relation issues arise. Exercise good judgment in managing the operation of all games, within the limits of established policies and procedures.
Floor Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use strategies to engage employees, foster a positive work environment, gather, resolve employee issues, and retain top performers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with employees to share information, listen to feedback, and role model Two Kings Casino standards.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Ensures efficiency of Slot machines and related gaming equipment during assigned shift.
- Provides authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists with service calls in accordance with established procedures. Notifies Slot Technicians if any technical issues arise.
- Manage team expectations, ensuring compliance with departmental and company policies including coaching and discipline sessions.
- Ensures that disciplinary notices, and superior job performance notices are complete, on time and accurate.
- Manage, organize, and complete assigned projects with attention to detail within the established deadline.
- Ensure inventory of all company equipment and sensitive keys during shift are maintained and accounted for.
- Protect the confidentiality of company files and documents under immediate control.
- Ability to effectively communicate professionally in English, in both oral and written forms.
- Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various types of slot machines, their functions, malfunctions, and payout schedules. • Maintains security of all games, money, and employees.
- Takes advantage of the opportunity to build long-term relationships with customers.
- Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with Slot players and handles customer disputes, making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Research and resolve guest and / or employee issues effectively and professionally.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and have knowledge of Slot operating systems.
- Working knowledge of gaming regulations.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Dual Rate Slot Shift Manager Essential Functions:
- Maintains a constant visual presence on the gaming floor seeking and responding to guests that require assistance with slot machines and any other service needs in a timely manner.
- Provides courteous and helpful information to guests. Responds to guest complaints in a considerate, professional, and positive manner. Shows genuine concern and empathy,
- Actively listens to the guests, takes ownership of their concerns, and follows through to a resolution.
- Explains various game combinations payouts and jackpots.
- Resets Slots whenever necessary.
- Completes manual jackpot payouts.
- Refills ticket printers with voucher paper.
- Makes minor repairs to slot machines and related hardware.
- Maintains meticulous security of keys, radios and any other devices issued to them and complies with company safety standards.
- Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Acts as a signatory on hand paid jackpots as detailed in internal controls and SOP’s.
- Assists guests in ordering beverages.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to the regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all required training meetings.
- Assists in the training of new employees as directed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to analyze situations and make decisions in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must be able to interact with mobile devices, touch screens and computers. • Previous experience using Smart Phones and/or Tablets required.
- Ability to make sound decisions immediately.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Management is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Slot Supervisory position preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a hotel/gaming property is preferred.
- Knowledge of slot equipment.
- Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.
