Full-time, 12-month position.
The Director, Business & Industry Learning Services, will work closely with the School of Business, Industry, and Technology at CVCC to provide services to business and industry. As a key interface with clients and external partners, this position is responsible for leveraging the value of CVCC’s School of Business, Industry and Technology at maximum capacity to create a high-quality, consistent client experience. Coordinate instructors/resources needed to conduct successful CVCC School of Business, Industry, and Technology programs and services to clients.
Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering or related technical field. Business Degree accepted with Engineering or Technical Job Experience.
Minimum ten years’ experience in industry with involvement in mapping, redesign, and improvement of back office and customer facing processes.
Three years’ experience in North Carolina Community College Continuing Education (processes and paperwork) and experience instructing or administering Customized Training Projects.
Client relations experience required.
Experience with Continuous Improvement processes (Lean and Six Sigma) is preferred.
Possess an executive presence that quickly establishes the Director as a subject matter expert in assessment and development, and as a trusted coach and advisor at the leadership level; effective verbal and written presentation skills; ability to influence without authority; ability to work in a team atmosphere; good understanding and execution of internal customer service; excellent consulting and customer interface skills.
