What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Nurse Liaison / Wound Healing / Full Time position at Catawba Valley Medical Center?
Summary of Performance Expectations:
Performs the primary function of answering clinical phone calls for Wound Healing Center patient related issues. Performs patient pre-registration, enters orders for consults and ancillary testing, orders and tracks receipt of tissue products. Is responsible for meeting the established Wound Center standards of practice, and acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, Joint Commission standards, professional and ethical practice.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN). Current NC license. BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.

Required:
Two years of experience. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred:
Wound care and medical office experience.
