IT Implementation Specialist / Information Systems / Full Time

Summary of Performance Expectations:

Responsible for the Electronic Health Record (E H R) Program from implementation to daily operations. Training users on the optimum use of the E H R. Serves as a Super User of the E H R and creates training materials, schedules, plans and provides training to CVMG staff and Providers. Serves as a Subject Matter expert on internal E H R and IT Projects, including enhancing workflows while meeting system requirements. Serves as a backup to the Systems & Operations Analysts and supports information technology of assigned locations. Maintains expertise with tools used to enhance use of application software such as report writers and Microsoft office. Assists with development, support and upgrading of the E H R and special projects when necessary. Stays up to date on the latest processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize healthcare systems within the Medical Group.

Education & Credentials:

Required

Bachelor’s degree in health relevant field including but not limited to management, healthcare administration, business administration, information systems, or equivalent experience in healthcare computer software applications. Will consider applicant near graduation with a successful internship.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in health informatics.

Work Experience:

Required

Three years previous E H R and / or training experience. Advanced computer skills with clinical software applications. Experience with Compliance Issues including HIPAA, ICD-10, and CPT coding. Experienced with information system database applications. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the position within three months of employment date.

Preferred

Five years previous healthcare experience. Expertise in project management & IBM Cognos report writers. Prior experience with eClinicalWorks E H R in an ambulatory care setting is desirable.
